Becoming an indie author of cozy fantasy and mystery adventures has been a dream come true. I’ve read so many books I love that getting to write stories for others to enjoy is a gratifying endeavor.
I never realized how many skills I would need as an indie author. I write, edit, format, and create book covers along with managing my website.
Of course, I couldn’t live without the functionality of grammar checkers like ProWritingAid and Autocrit. They keep my prose error-free (well mostly).
Occasionally I’ll write flash fiction—roughly 200 word stories—along with short stories between 1000 and 10k. Many of those feature side characters from my books. If you’d like to know more, subscribe for my monthly newsletter.

Ziggy Poppin isn’t your typical scavenger. He’s a quirky industrious gnome and turnip hauler who supplies veggies for his sister’s pub and grill in Thimbleville. When Zig isn’t scouring for trinkets at the humans’ midden in the wee hours of the night, he ‘borrows’ from a farmer’s vegetable patch like it’s a free-for-all open market. But picking the cream of the farm’s crops abruptly halts when the owner mysteriously disappears.
Zig’s peaceful life implodes after three demanding fairy sisters storm his attic. In desperation, poor Zig makes a bargain, agreeing to support their investigation into the human’s disappearance in exchange for priceless fairy tears. Unfortunately for Zig, he’s about uncover hidden secrets that forest kinfolk would rather remain buried.
This cozy fantasy fairy tale with a touch of dry humor follows the efforts of an unwilling garden gnome turned amateur sleuth and three fumbling fairies. Together, they must solve a complex crime caper with a twisted fairy tale flare.

I didn’t start as a writer; I began as a reader. As a kid, I could never put down a good book, and I still can’t today. My love for reading led me to writing.
Becoming an author was a long and winding path. After two engineering degrees and years of corporate work, I started a blog. Yet, stories I loved reading got me wanting to write my own and entertain others as I’d been entertained. I still enjoy reading, but now I’m writing the tales that are stuck in my imagination.
